This 40 MW initiative, set against the lush backdrops of Sindhupalchowk District, Bagmati Province, symbolizes a pioneering effort in harnessing renewable resources to fuel the nation’s future.

I am pleased to update you on the Bhotekoshi Hydropower Project, a significant initiative in Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality, Sindhupalchowk District. Designed as a run-of-the-river project, it aims to harness the Bhotekoshi Khola’s potential, making a substantial contribution to Nepal’s sustainable energy portfolio. Our strategic progress includes the installation of a 2.5 km 132 kV transmission line connecting to the nearby Upper Chaku Khola Hydroelectric Project, enhancing grid integration. Hydrologically, the project benefits from a large 2210 km² catchment area, supporting impressive hydraulic specifications and enabling a generating capacity of 40 MW.
